This Antiques and Collectors Fair is in loving memory of Mavis Summerfield who died of MND in March. Her two daughters (Doreen and Jennie) both living on the Isle of Wight, organise this annual tribute to raise much needed funds for the Isle of Wight branch to help local people living with MND.

Jonathan can often be seen on Bargain Hunt/Flog It and has agreed to officially open the fair then be on hand to help sell some of the items kindly donated to our branch’.
Jonathan said ‘I have experienced first-hand the effects that MND has on an individual and their family when a work colleague was diagnosed. I am very pleased to be given the opportunity to help raise awareness and much needed funds for the IOW Branch of MNDA.
Doreen added ‘ Although MND is starting to receive more publicity we must never give up raising awareness and, just as important, continue to raise funds to help local people living with MND and their families on the Island.

The Isle of Wight branch of MND is run entirely by volunteers who give their time freely. We rely on donations to help us fund the ever-changing needs for people living with MND on the Isle of Wight.
Research by the MND Association has revealed that a person with MND will need an extra £12,000 per year to help them cope with the differing requirements this awful disease may throw at them. This amount doesn’t include loss of earnings so every penny we raise on 10th March is vital.
